Captured this past week as these three stood in the Madison River within 20 feet of the roadway. There was a huge traffic jam but I was able to shoot by being way in front of them and avoiding the crowd on the roadway. I have 5 images of this group but this is the only one showing an open mouth. Next post will be dad.

10D, 600IS, EV-1 2/3, ISO400, f10, 1/50, no flash, full frame. Catchlight is natural.

Comments and reposts welcome. Thanks EJ, I have recalibarated the monitor.

Jim,

Nice cow grouping. I am not sure about the open mouth but its works for your title. A slight bump in contrast may help this one pop just a little more. It is good to always remember to shoot the cows. :)

Apart from being a touch too dark on my screen Jim (the shadow tool lightenened this up a treat when I just tried it) this is a beautiful group shot. Nice closeness but with good head separation, all alert and looking in the same direction and lovely tone and detail. Nice one! 8) 8) 8) :)

Very dark again Jim. I think something happened to your calibration. Nice shot otherwise.
