Site is really slow today

All day today (Jan 28/13) the site has been really slow for me. Many times it just will not load and quite often times out, and then I will try it about 10 minutes later and it loads right away. This has randomly been happening all day long. Has there been work going on or something? I am using Firefox, but no other sites are acting like this . . . . only NSN.

Tim the site experienced some issues yesterday with massive database queries and we reset the server after midnight. The queries and slowness could have been from repeated spam/registration attempts to access the server (which failed to access) but we're not 100% sure at this point. We're continuing to monitor it. It seems just fine today.

Thanks Greg . . . . yes it does seem to be back to normal speed today.
