Hello NatureScapers...

Had a chance to try and capture a fast moving skunk during a recent model shoot. The sun was high (and impossible) so we went in the (deep) shade but the activity of this model dictated flash as main, or we could have tried pan blurs....

Tried to get close and frame the skunk with himself...

Thanks for looking and for any comments or suggestions...

This is great - probably the best skunk shot I've ever seen.

Excellent shot. I like how you used the skunks stripes as diagonals to lead right down to the face.

Tame skunk handled by a trainer, descented, aka "model". Tomato juice reportedly helps adsorb and minimize the smell one endures after they or their dog are sprayed with skunk anal sac contents..

This brings back memories of 3D last fall and Katie, the owners daughter who told me her favorite animal was the 'stunk' and that her daddy had taken the 'stink bags' out. I think she was maybe 6 or 7.

You are very brave Dennis!!!!! Outstanding image such a sweet innocent face :)

Would consider cropping some from the top? Coloration and texture are different and does not seem to add much to the composition.

Sure wish I could get a chance to work with one.

Its always nice to see something different, even a humble, but cute skunk.

Nice details and exposure. I'd be inclined to crop the top a bit also.

Dennis, Wow, I never realized that skunks could be so cute! I think a crop would help, but think this is great as is, especially with the stripe almost framing the face.
