Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Photo and Digital Art Gallery, week ending 3rd August, 2012!Fallen Roof Ruin is an Ancestral Pueblo structure in Southern Utah.
This was done using the Mixer Brush Cloning Paint Setup action in Photoshop CS6. This gives you 3 layers to apply your paint with Cloner Mixer Brushes that will automatically pick up the picture's color of where you start your brush stroke. I then did a few strokes at the end with the history brush set as a mixer brush and low opacity to bring out some detail from the original photo.

Great colors Jerry. Looks like it's on fire. Thanks for explaining what you did. You've inspired me to explore more painting potential on CS6. Nice work!

I do admit to making the colors more painterly, but that area does have a nice palette of reds :D
