Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Birds Gallery, week ending 20th July, 2012!Photographed near midnight in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. These dusck were showing beautiful courtship display and this one decided to swim in front of the hyde. Shot vertical, full frame, cropped for presentation.

I love the pose and water drops on the bird here. On my uncalibrated laptop, the contrast looks odd like too much shadows recovery or something, but it could easily be just my screen. Beautiful image.
