Captive at Fort Worth Zoo

Wish I could get back to Zambia (land of my birth !) but meanwhile I make do with zoos. The Fort Worth Zoo lion enclosure is built like a cliff side so you can get some upward looking shots.

I used NC4 Digital DEE to recover some shadow detail. Haven't worked out why yet but on some images DEE is much better than the CS Shadow tool, on the others it is the other way round.

Any comments welcome - thanks for looking.

Nice composition and lovely colour tones Andrew. A touch more USM for my tastes but a good shot. 8) 8) 8) :)

I'm with Carol on just a touch more USM, but other than that it's very nice. Excellent job to isolate and get a good pose with no obvious hand-of-man.
