Thank you all! I am really happy especially because this is my first IOW here.

I also want to specially thank Chas Glatzer. When I was in his yellowstone workshop last month, he told me that he once took a photo of a bison in a -40F snow storm by hiking waist deep snow and used a 1/15s shutter speed with his 600mm lens and still got a very sharp pic. This inspired me to try 1/60s for this snowy owl pic with a 500mm in order to capture the predawn ambient light with dilated pupils in the eyes while maintaining a not-too-high ISO. I would never have attempted it if I didn't know its even possible.
