For want of a better word, does anyone know if there is a measurement scale for comparing how "white" a printer paper is? If so, is there a database anywhere?

I print with the Epson R3000 on Epson Premium Lustre paper, but that paper does have a distinct "grayness" which one can see when soft-proofing in PS.

Thanks
Ken

Every photo paper has a whiteness rating. 100 is perfect pure white. The higher the number, the whiter the surface.

I believe the brightness numbers reflect reflectance value - 92 brightness paper reflects 92% of the light - or is about 2-1/3 stops brighter than middle gray.
