Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Wildlife Gallery, week ending 30th December, 2011!

Another image from last weeks bighorn tour. Not a fighting image but a mating chase where a receptive ewe will lead the rams on a test of endurance to ensure only the strongest ram will breed. Here the sheep show their amazing abilty to run across a nearly vertical rock wall

The things we do for love! (or the reproduction of the strongest genes!) This makes me dizzy just looking at their crazy chase!

Wow amazing footing! This really, really shows just how sure-footed they are. I like the line the sheep make, from a compositional standpoint. The ram behind has the bigger curl, did he end up winning?

A really special behavioral shot. The image does a great job of conveying the steep incline the rock face. Very nice! :)

Congratulations. Very cool shot! Amazing how they are able to stay on the rock face. Even with opposable thumbs I couldn't stick it. Andy they have hooves!
