I have observed Regal Horned Lizards several times hiding out in cactus. I think maybe I got too close to this guy with my camera so he decided to head for the fort!

Excellent composition and great use of selective dof to give the maximum impact to this lovely image! He certainly does seem to be in a pretty impenetrable safe place!

This is pretty cool! The prickly pear pads give some interesting shapes and forms to the composition and the lizard is well placed. Good DOF, I like that you have several of the pads as well as the majority of the lizard sharp.
