I am trying to find the most efficient way of keeping track of what print number is out on consignment and/or sold.

I have Excel but am a rank beginner at using it. It would seem that would be the way to go.

Should I keep track of the print number, paper or canvas, date and gallery for each title? Or, keep track by each gallery for evertything they have on hand and have sold?

Is there other software out there that would be better than Excel?

How do you do it?

I use Excel. I list everything underneath each gallery and include title of print, dimensions, and the sell price. I also include start and finish dates of each showing. If I sell one I simply mark it sold and the price sold so I know for reference in the future.

Excel is pretty easy if you just doink with it enough. If you want to get better, spend $15 on a Excel for Dummies book.
