I have an epson 2200, and want to use some other papers, and i have been using the Epson papers for quite a while. I was thinking about Illford papers, but I was told by a local person that the inks for the 2200 are incompatable with Illford papers.... On the Illford site they do state to include Epson, however that probably does not include ALL models.

Any and alll suggestions are welcomed!
Thanks,
Henri Monnier

Welcome to NSN Henri.

There are many papers that can be used with a 2200. The best way to figure out if a paper has been tested with a particular printer is to see if the manufacturer of the paper provides a profile for that specific printer. Moab, Red River and several others do have profiles for the 2200 so those papers would work well.

Henri,

As E.J. said there are several aftermarket paper companies with profiles readily available for the Epson 2200 and I would recommend exploring some of them. Personally I have been very happy with both Red River and Moab.

That said, Illford does have ICC profiles available for the 2200. Find them here http://www.ilford.com/profiles/index_en ... pe=profile
