This shot is from a newly opened slot canyon ("Canyon X") near Page, AZ. It is not for the general public and me and 3 other photographers had the canyon to ourselfs for half a day. A slightly longer lens would have been more effective to compose this shot, i had to crop it slightly from the top.

EOS 10d, 70-200/f4, ISO 100
exposure 6sec @ f8.0.

I like it. If you can live with the longer exposure, I find a polarizer very effective to take some of the sheen off of the top facing areas.

Very cool, especially the non-sheened :? bits.

Beautiful shot. Is this "SecretCanyon" or another?
There is another one which requires quite a hike. Any comments or clues?

It is being advertised by one of the tour operators as "Canyon X". I just looked it up, here is their website:
http://www.overlandcanyon.com/Canyon_X/canyon_x.html
It requires a 20 minute jeep ride from the nearest highway. It is on private property, and it is a rather short slot. The best thing about it is the lack of crowds. The tourguide is Jackson Bridges, a pro photographer. I am pretty sure the area is full with slot canyons, but this is Navaho land and everything is private property. Some websites show several more slot canyons which are closed down now. There is one more in that area which is accessible, and it is quite a hike, it is the Buckskin Gulch. It is very long, you normally need two days to hike trough, although the trail register showed an individual who hiked it in 8 hours. If you want more information, just e-mail me.
