The first night I was in Yosemite I saw several of these guys but never was able to get a shot, as invariably it was while driving and they'd disappear in the rocks. On Saturday night, as I was driving back towards my lodge, I stopped at one of the pullovers along Tioga Pass Rd to enjoy the scenery and found one of these guys, by accident (I darn near ran into it as I was walking around). He was very accomodating and I was sitting on a rock less than 10 feet from him. I then watch him go down on the other side of the big boulder and saw where, presumable, two were raising their young. I never saw the young, but here is one of them peeking out of their home.
