Taken at the Metro Zoo in Miami. The handlers took him out after the show just for our photo club. He was purring.
Cloned out his collar.
D30, 100-400IS lens, Hand held, AV, 1/60, F5.6

This is a terrific photo IMHO. I like the lower angle which gives a powerful feeling to the image. Exposure and detail look great with enough dof sharp nose to eye. My only suggestion would be to clone out the flash highlights since you really dont need them, since there is overcast catch lights already present. Nice use of fill and thanks for posting.

This is an extremely rare type of Cheetah.

Did you by any chance get any shots showing the very distinctive markings that set them apart from the ordinary Cheetah? :)

Hi Carol, Yes, I believe I do have a pic like that. I will post it tomorrow.
