The colors and patterns in Eastern Washington this time of year are some of my favorites. I saw this lone tree and decided to shoot it as a panoramic. Made this image last week right as the sun was setting.

Canon 1DMKII Sigma 300-800mm Lens f/5.6 ISO 400 Gitzo Tripod Wimberley Head.

Neat shot. It's interesting taking landscape shots with the big lenses. When I was there the wind was howling. No way could I stabilize a big lens on Steptoe. I hope the wind isn't so bad next trip.

Very nice Scott. I like the bit of shade at the top to make the tree stand out more. Sweet light!
