Ruby Beach, Olympic National Park, WA

I rarely post landscapes since I've concentrated on wildlife since going digital. Anyway, this was a scan so they are never as clean as my digital shots. It was a very overcast sunset at Ruby Beach but with the long exposure I got an etherial effect.

Nikon F100, 28-70mm, Velvia--sorry I forgot the exposure but it was fairly long

I like how the three dark areas are separated by mist. It has that composite look, but it isn’t.

Very nice mood in this image. A bit more contrast on the scan would be the ticket. Nice balance too in the foreground.

I agree but no way I'm scanning this slide again. I loath scanning.

There's absolutely no need to rescan. the contrast can easily be modified in your photo program. Very cool shot in an area that I need to spend some time in.
