St. Augustine Vilano Beach at Pre-Sunrise

When I got to St. Augustine I generally start my days before sunrise at Vilano Beach and shoot while waiting for the Alligator Farm to open. Last weekend there weren't any birds around so I took to shooting the rocks and ocean! ;) I'm a novice at this sort of photography so I just tried my best. I don't even own a ballhead so I had to handhold this one! :roll:

I think you did well compositionally. All you needed was a bit more color in the sunrise to make this really jump. Still very nice!

To add to Dan's critique, I think you'd get a better mood with a longer exposure (now obviously you can not handhold that...).

The comp is nice but like the others said, it does seem a bit flat.
