Finally have caught up enough to sort through a couple of Torres del Paine photos (Patagonia, Chile) and will try to post some over the next couple of days.

Spent most of a morning with a herd of guanacos (camelid family). Problem after a few minutes? Even though I was within a few feet, they were totally wild, and tourists there don't normally stray from the road, they were about as relaxed as could be. They continued to feed and rarely looked up. So I laid down and waited for a tight head shot. Wish I hadn't clipped the adult's ears but such is life. (Cropped a bit from bottom.) Suggestions and reposts welcome.

Nicely done. I like tight portraits and having an adult and offspring in the same frame is great. Plus its always nice to see some different critters.

Very sweet shot Rich. I love the tight composition. For printing you might want to tone down the bright highlight on the right. I look forward to seeing more shots from your trip.

Rich, I really appreciate seeing photos from South America since they're relatively rare here. I also really like the tight comp with both the adult and young, and those eyes are gorgeous.
