I was just stolling out by the lake when I came upon this branch with lilly pads around it.

Interesting shot, nice light. I like the branch and the lilly pads. Can't decide if I like the tree reflections though...

Nice. I think this would work both ways. With and without the BG tree reflections. The lily pads are a nice touch.

Nice J! I think this shot would be more effective if the portion of the branch closest to the water surface was on the left with the portion above water pointing to an open space to the righ.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

It's the simplicity of the branch and the pads that makes this image so I would concentrate completely on them. It's not a bad image as is, but not great either.

I agree with Svein. I'd simplify this by cropping from the top and the left leaving only the branch, reflection and lilly pads and cloning out anything that couldn't be cropped. The result would be much more powerful.
