Sooty-capped Bush-Tanager (Costa Rica)

Okay, not as gaudy as the recently posted trogon & motmot, but Sooty-capped Bush-Tanagers, like many highland birds, were remarkably tame, sometimes paying no attention to an observer. They were fond of blackberries, which is the stuff in its beak.

Cool bird. I've never seen one of these. The berries hanging from the beak are a nice touch. :)

Wow, this is great! And I never found them to be tame, nor out in the open like this.

Maybe not flashy but certainly beautiful. Very nicely composed and I also like the berries in the bill.
