Taken in September 2002, Resurrection Bay, Seward, Alaska from a tour boat. Canon Elan7, Sigma 70-300mm, Provia 400, f5.6 (I think), Hand held shot. Overcast light. Hoping to get some really good shots of these when I return in September and can use my Canon D60 and EF 300mm f4.0L, IS lens.

Boy, you can sure see where they got the design cues for the modern nuclear subs! :)

I always found it interesting that the top fin develops straight on the wild Orca while the fin flops over on the ones in captivity. That just tells you how demanding swimming through the ocean to find food must be.

Nice capture!

These guys sure are big. What a find. I would love to see an Orca in real life. :)

Nice one Linda. With the water in front of him he looks like he is on a mission.

Commanding shot Linda. Just a bit of a blue cast (other than the H2O) appears on my monitor.
