This is my first post to NatureScapes (or any online forum). I've been enjoying your photos for a while! I was intriqued by the motif and thought of this photo from Triple D this past January.

Shot with D100 w/80-400, aperture priority at 5.6, ISO 400.

This is a wonderful moment you captured here!! I love the action. Fits the Motif theme perfectly, IMO. :)

Whoa, almost reminds me of a sea creature breeching. Very cool shot (literally and figuratively)! Way to go! Excellent first post!

Welcome Carolyn. This is a great first post showing lots of action. While I might prefer a little more room on the right, away from the square crop, I like it as is too. A little fill flash would have given a glean to the eye and made the wolf pop a bit. Very nice as is and I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Welcome to NatureScapes and a fine first post.. I really like the action. Other than flash to put a little pop in the subject, you could also selectively lighten the wolf, especially the eye, adding some saturation there.. Can't wait to see more posts..

Carolyn,

Love the way he seems to be exploding out of the snow.
