Nice shot, and very engaging!

One's mind inevitably tries to classify the animal as something familiar, subconsciously... Is it a cat? A puppy? A ferret? I think that's part of the fun of looking at one of these "non-standard" animals.

One thing classified right out: It sure is cute!

How very interesting! It's an animal I have never seen. The difference between the lightest tones and darkest creates quite a contrast; I wonder if it might be possible to bring out more detail from the underchin shadow and tone down the very lightest parts of the face in a photo-editing program? Again, it's certainly an interesting animal. I'd like to see what the rest of it looks like in a series of photos, too.
