Just a bit of a crop and some USM. This is the newest cat at the Vilas Zoo - born in the fall, he's much bigger now than when I took the foto.

cheers,

Terrific. I like how the light spotlights the subject, throwing the background into shadow. Good action. Is this zoo in Madison? Thanks for posting.. Very cute

This is great, Matt -- he's really putting on his fierce face. Nice lighting and good work on the exposure.

Technical perfection in this image, great light, great pose, even a well-combed kitty! Nicely done!

Distant Disney strains of "Hakuna Metata" are going through my head. Guess who went to Walt Disney World last weekend. :) In all seriousness, when I see a photo like this I think it's amazing how Disney's animators caught the character in these animals and turned it into drawings with life.

I can almost here the roar. :) Very nicely done. The highlights in the fur are marvelous with the dark background and I love those big paws...like human kids, the feet always look like they need to be gown into.
