Leopard
Maasai Mara, Kenya

This one is for Dave who threatened to get out the Cheryl Voodoo doll if I posted another leopard shot. I think you got the doll out early as I have been having some weird pains in my knees and neck the last 2 days. This is not my best leopard shot by far but it was already on the computer-it was part of my Butts and Nuts 2004 calendar.

This is Zawadi, daughter of the famous leopard Half-tail. She was hunting and made a lunge at some small critter, hence the motion blur in the back end. Unfortunately she did not catch it.

Nikon N90s, not sure which lens, sensia 100.

I just wanted thank everyone for their great participation in this weeks motif. As I love the cats, this was really a fun motif for me and I greatly enjoyed seeing so many gorgeous images.

Wonderful catch of the action Cheryl!! I love watching the big cats hunt. Great pose and composition with the tail erect , the curve of the rump and the tension in the shoulder muscles. 8) 8) :)
