Canon D30, 100-400@130mm, 1/45 sec at f6.7, ISO100, tripod

This is from a Triple D predator shoot in Utah. Although we had great sunlight the best images were taken on the shade side of this red rock arch. The light reflecting inside the arch gave that slot canyon effect.
I would have had a higher percentage of keepers at ISO 200 or higher but digital was very secondary back then to my use of film.

love the orange bg and look as if this guy is hiding out in the canyon. great shot. all the technicals spot on and your composition is perfect. well done.

Great shot Steve. I agree that the best shots we got of the bobcats was on the shaded side of the rocks. The orange glow puts this over the top for me.

Love the background colour and the lichens on the fg rock. Almost looks like the lichens are a reflection! Good compositon too.

Great detail and color. BG adds a lot to the mood. This cat looks as if he could be a house pet! Bet he would be insulted by that comment :wink:
