Leopard
Maasai Mara, Kenya 1997

Another of my big cat shots from the 'green' trip to Kenya during El Nino. We had found this leopard sleeping in a tree and waited until he came down to get a drink. Here he is on his way back to the tree which is why he is looking up.

Awesome! They really look good against green backgrounds. I like how focused he looks yet seems to totaly disregard the photographer. You also were lucky to have a pretty low angle here.

GREAT shot.

One sees so much more it one takes the time to wait for behavior. Well done.

Cheers

Beautiful shot Cheryl! I have yet to see one in the wild - last year in Botswana saw fresh tracks but no kitty! Zambia this year? I live in hope!!!!

This is a lovely composition and the diagonal pose across the frame just makes it for me. 8) 8) 8) :)

I'm green every time I see a shot from your "green" trip, and this one's no exception.

(I leave today for Patagonia, but your bag should still make it to the mail.)

I like everything about this one Cheryl. great enviromental shot. nicely composed (nice job keeping whole tail in the frame) and that look on the animals face adds interest. well done.

Nice image! I enjoyed finding the drop of water under the cat's chin. :)

Almost looks like it's wearing a collar.

I like this very much, the contrast between the cat and the background make it pop!
