I just returned from a trip to the Adirondacks and I photographed with my digital (SONY DSC F707) as well a Nikon F100. I have a few digital images that really look better than the same subject taken with Nikon. Problem is that the digital ones are only 3.5 meg in JPG format and PS 7 tells me that resolution is at 72. Is there any way to get a truly sharp slide from them & if so how? Also, how large a print can I expect to get (sharp) from my Epson 1280?

:?:

Thanks for replies.

The first thing you should do is tgo save that original first generation JPEG as a TIF so as to get it out of a lossy compression file space. If you have done that you should be able to get a nice 8x10 print with some interpolation. A slide can easily be made from it - check out http://www.slides.com

OK E.J. I'm going to give that a try. I'll post an update & maybe even the image.

Thanks.
