Hello,

I just set up my printer this weekend. In short, it is amazing. I do have one question though. I can't find the hp/photoshop combined plugin. According to the manual, it is found under file-> automate. When I look for it under CS3, it doesn't appear to be there in the menu. Any idea's ?

I got around it by letting the application manage the color on the hp printer driver and using Qimage to up rez and prepare images for print. This works great, but I would like to try printing using the built in photoshop plugin that doesn't seem to be available under my CS3 file->automate menu. TIA.

From what I remember you have to manually install it... I thought the latest version on the web was suppose to support it but not really sure.

Thanks Lou. I installed the entire hp printer software. Were do I find the plugin ? Once found, do I drop it in the usual PS plugin folder ? I looked for it under the hp directory in program files but could not see anything that seems like a plugin... :?:

Maybe this is the problem:

"When you install the B9180 driver, it looks after a version of Adobe Photoshop 7, CS or CS2 to install the Photosmart Pro Print Plugin. When Photoshop CS3 is installed, the driver does not install the plugin. HP is not going to correct this because Photoshop CS3 already contains what they call “Improved Printing Experience” which is a new and larger print preview window with more controls in one place. It has been developed by Adobe and HP and it is enabled with select printers from HP, Epson and Canon.
Thanks "

Christian,

I asked a friend in engineering and that is basically what he told me also.
