I've used Red River's various note card papers for years. Inevitably I encounter loading problems using their matt card papers using an Epson 2200 or 2400. It's a bit frustrating when you're printing a hundred cards.

Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone not have this problem with coated Red River note cards?

Cheers

I also have problems with the Polar Matte cards. I have not tried adjusting the thickness lever on my 2200 to see if that helps. I have just resigned my self to feeding individually to keep the partial feeds from messing up the prints.

The thickness adjustment on the 2200 makes a big difference in how paper feeds if it's thicker than you usually use.

I haven't used any Red River paper in a couple of years, but other products feed better with a wider adjustment, as well as envelopes.

Jim,

What are you using instead of Redriver?

Tom, are you using one of Epson's 'backing sheets' behind the cards? I usually find this helps a lot.

I used Epson Double-sided matte this week to cut apart for framed print labels. I had problems with almost every sheet out of 16. I had forgotten about the possibility of adjusting for paper thickness and will try that. Thanks for this thread!
