During next month I will stay for vacation in Costa Rica. It will be my first time in the rainforest. To keep it simple, the equipment will be:

EOS 10D, 550EX
4,0/17-40 for landscapes flowers etc.
1,4/50 for street photography
but the choice is for wildlife:

focus on low light capability: 2,0/135 and 1,4x Extender

OR

focus on speed of use: 4,0/70-200

What do you recommend? I don't want to use both tele lenses, because my small bag which I want to use can carry only 1 body, 3 lenses and the flash.

Regards

Bernd

I was down there last year and there are plenty of places with good light. Meaning, take the longest lens you can if you want good wildlife photos.
