Hey everyone,

I sneaking in from the birds forum to post a few shots now that I have a scanner. I suppose I wish that this guy was closer to the left of the frame but I still like the photo.

Thanks for any comments and suggestions!

Michael,
Great shot. I'm going to Danali next Sept. with Joseph Van Oss and I am hoping for a shot of a Grizzly, Bull Moose, Bull Caribou, and an unobstructed view of Mt. McKinley. Some of these little guys would also be OK. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
Bill

Eilson visitor's center is THE place to photograph the Arctic Ground Squirrels in my opinion. They are very easy to approach here and it isn't a long walk or anything to where they are. I was only at the park for a few days with my family. The mountain is usually pretty socked in with clouds so you'll just have to pray and hope for a little sunshine. Unless you can drive your car around your chances for big game shots are pretty limited, although I did get a few nice ones from the shuttle bus. They don't let you out within a half mile of where any wildlife have been sighted, so if you want to get off the shuttle bus then you will have a walk to get to where you saw stuff, but it could be worse. We did run into a grizzly with two cubs that were a little close for comfort when we went out for a hike on our last day.

If you want any specific info feel free to email me.

Michael
