Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) – Essex, UK.

Canon 1v, 600/4, Gitzo 1540 + Wimberley Head, Provia F100 pushed 1stop. Scan: Nikon Coolscan 4000; full frame.

I thought this might fit with the theme of this weeks' motif.

The action between these two vixens was accompanied by a sound like murder was being committed. Shot last year when I was still using film.

Best wishes to everyone for Xmas and the New Year - I'll be celebrating in Tanzania :D

Phil, good to see you here!

This shot, while an outstanding one, pobably is best suited for elements of humankind in that it reminds me of my wife and 15 year old daughter at times!

Enjoy your trip!

Great shot. The timing couldn't be better and the background is a perfect compliment to their red fur.

Hey Phil,

Stunning shot. To me, it looks slightly over-saturated though. The action, the comp (I don't mind the ears clipped here) more than make up for any issues though. Great job.

Cheers

Great timing to catch both mid-scream, and the exposure looks perfect. I might back off on the saturation a bit though.
