Bighorn Sheep
Jasper NP, Alberta Canada

Another shot from Chas' STL in Jasper last month. By the time I finally struggled up onto the rocks with Dennis and Chas, most of the bighorns had left. this one decided to come over the rocks and walk right past me. I managed to shoot about 6 frames and it was gone. this was my favorite one.

Well worth the climb, Cheryl.. I really love seeing the river and the mts in the background, really gives the subject a sense of place...

Wow, Cheryl, I love it! The background is wonderful, and I love the sheep in your face with a raised, snowy hoof.

Excellent Cheryl. I also love the background and perspective of this. He looks like a youngin.
There was a recent story on the news of how trophy hunting is causing an unnatural selection against the largest horns and they can now measure smaller averages in the adults. This shot would be a great cover shot for an article on that.

Raised foot, nice background, and definitely in your face! But ROFL at calling those things "bighorns!"

Cool shot, Cheryl -- I like how the sheep is sharp front to back against the OOF background, as it really makes it pop.
