Hi people!

Almost an year ago I published, like I do often, a small Geographica with 3 images on National Geographic Portugal, about some kestrels breading on a 10th floor balcony in Lisbon. Some of you may remember some images from the series that I posted here, like this one:
http://www.naturescapes.net/phpBB3/view ... rel+lisbon
A few months latter I was contacted by the editor os Israeli edition saying that he wanted to publish that story on the magazine. Finally this month it came out.
I was requested to send an Invoice in order to receive the check. I asked about which information should I put on the invoice and they answered this: "All you have to do is send us an invoice to our name,
with the required sum below. We can't predict what commission your bank might charge you - this you will have to settle directly with them."
Usually in my country I send to my clients receipts from the finances department and unfortunately I'm not very used to sell images abroad.
Can anyone help me to understand in what terms should I put the so called invoice?
Thanks for the help.

Alexandre, An invoice is simply a bill for services or products. Simply put it is a formal request for payment. If you have agreed on an amount simply indicate that on the invoice as well as any terms you might have agreed to as well.

Congrats on the sale!

While Cliff and Greg answered your question my suggestion is that when dealing internationally you request to be paid by bank transfer directly into your account and the person paying you is responsible to pay any charges that may be incurred. You can always remind the client that the terms were (or should be ) based on your currency.
Hope this helps
