This is from a couple of years ago. I was out wanting to get shots of fall colors but it turned into a drizzly, wet day, alternating between rain and snow. I sat in my truck waiting for a break, and remembered something like this that I had seen in a book by Freeman Patterson and Andre Gallant. This was one of my versions. I took this shot from inside the truck, shooting through the rain-streaked window and focusing the lens just beyond the rain drops on the glass.

EOS 3, 100 mm macro, tripod in driver's seat. E100VS, 0.3 sec. at f/16.

Thanks for looking! Suggestions for improvement are always welcome.

Very cool effect. I think that you certainly made the best of the rainy day.

What a great shot. Glad you were able to salvage your rainy day with this. It just goes to show that great photos are were great photographers find them.

Hey, this is a nice one. Pretty cheery for a rainy day. Like the black and yellow frame job. I suggest hanging this at the top of the stairs between computer room and living room, kinda like a light at the end of a tunnel effect. Good one.
