This is a full frame shot taken on Ship Creek, in Anchorage. It obviously crops nicely to either a vertical or horizontal format.

This is the one good shot out of 4 or 5 rolls of film in about as many visits to this man made waterfall. My reactions aren't what they used to be- I ended up with a number of tails sticking out of the falls or just plain water. :x

Canon EOS 3, 70-200/2.8, Provia at 200, tripod, remote release, probably about 1/250 and f5.6.

Here's my favorite crop.

Excellent Tim.. I really like this one and it fits the motif to a T.. You dont see many shots like this (especially minus a bear)... Thanks for another great contribution..

Awesome shot Tim. I love the sheet of water and the boiling water below. Perfect timing. Congrats.

Great shot Tim. Absolutely fits the motif-in mid air. Nope, its 'feet' are definitely not firmly planted on the ground! Thanks for sharing.

Great shot! Love the water and the light. I'd like to see this with the dark area on the right cropped off just for comparison. That would also move the salmon out of the center, which I think would make this even better.

Cool shot. It amazes me how these fish can make it over such large falls.

Tim, this is no easy task, but your persistence paid big dividends with this one. As you mentioned this image could be cropped in many ways, it is an editors dream.

Great catch

Best,

Chas

Great catch! The glistening ripples in the water go very nicely with the colors on the salmon!
