Mating Gorgone Checkerspots in the grass

Here's a pair of mating Gorgone Checkerspots (Charidryas gorgone) I found on a North Dakota prairie. I know some will not care for the grasses crossing over the butterflies.

Yep, .............. you sure have been shooting some wonderful macro subjects and I sure have been enjoying looking at them.
This is another wonderful shot Bryan, one that I like because of the great comp but still with a more natural look to it, or not to "posed" I guess you could say.
The whites on the butterfly at the bottom seems just a tad on the hot side, but that could easily be toned down in PS.

Please keep sending these beauties in Bryan!

I like the grasses, and I love the mating pose- a fine picture. I've admired these in my field guides, but unless I get out west, I won't see them!

I really like this shot, including the grass in front of the butterfly. The lighting is really nice.
