Someone mentioned a bumble bee when I said something about Black Bart. I did have a shot of one for this series too, but bumble bees don't seem to be as agressive as wasps. Canon D60, EF 70-200mm f4.0L, 1.4X tele-extender, ISO 200, f8.

I love the colors and composition. However, the bees head seems to be OOF.

Wonderful colors and comp Linda, but yes, it is a tad soft on the insect.
Keep on cranking them out. I love looking at them!! :)

I really like the blues reflecting off the head.
Unfortunately I agree that it seems a tad OOF...

This is lovely. It almost appears that there was some motion blur that made the bee OOF as the flower it is on is sharp. Great shot either way.

Great shot again. I agree with the others about being alittle OOF, but not much. But what I really like the best about this shot is the jumping spider you captured on the blossom right above the bee. And I thought you said you didn't have jumpers where you are.
