I posted a version of this shot on another site a long time ago, and other shots here on Naturescapes from this same morning near Chenega Glacier during a kayaking trip last summer. In the earlier version, I tried to bring out some of the detail in the trees, but that didn't look real, so I just re-scanned it. The glacier detail and jpg compression aren't too compatible. Velvia 50, Canon Elan 7e, probably 100-400 IS, around 4 am. Hammer away! Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

I like it. The composition, colors and silhouette, plus reflections on the water work well here

Ohh. Ahh!!!

I like this a lot. The nice pastels... The interesting scenery. The dark blacks contrasting to the rest of the image. VERY nice!

I would consider cropping the dark band at the very top, but that's just minor...

Great shot!

I like the shape of the land coming in from the right. Nice detail on the ice.

Of course the sun rise isn't too shabby either.

Looks like an absolutely magical place. I also like this cropped to a more panoramic format cropping the dark band at the top and some of the foregroundl.
