Well here's an attempt at a landscape shot from a macro photographer. Taken on an early fall morning near the North unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

I know very little about landscape photography but I think you have a very nice subject here. ( I like it better than the biting tick. ;) )

I like this a lot. For starters, you have an interesting sky which can make or break a landscape image. Your details and colors on the hill in the background is wonderful and I really like the bare tree and brush in the foreground. The tree is placed nicely approximately at the 1/3 line in the frame. Only nit that I have, and its very small is one branch is touching the edge of the frame...but that's being really nit-picky of me. Still a wonderful shot!
