Looks like you did a good job not burning the highlights in the bill which so often occurs with this duck. I'm still debating the otherwise nice water as to whether its color competes with the color on the side of the woodie?

Beautiful Steve... might dial back the saturation a bit (use a reverse "S" curve maybe?) I've got to get to Santee, we have no woodies at BC. :)

Nice water but a bit over saturated I think.

Really nice shot of one of my birds.  Love the light and the water texture too. I would crop some off the bottom though, it doesn't add much for me.

Yes, the color is for real. But it does look suspicious. There is one spot, a little cove on the west side of one of the lakes in Santee where the last light of sunset is so beautiful. It is enhanced by the warm reflections of the reeds and trees. I believe there had been a brush fire that day that made the light even more orange. All my images from that evening are gaga color compared to the many other galleries from there. I shoot that location regularly as it is real close to where I live. Yesterday evening I was there making more images. I just can't leave that magic place alone and am very blessed to be near it.

Steve,

Like everyone else, I love the color. I agree with Mike's crop suggestion as well.
