Simply spectacular! I like the turn of the head, the catchlight, and that awesome background.

Amen to Dennis' comments. Pose against the dark mountain background is spectacular and the bit of grass does add interest.

There are Elk shots........and there are Elk shots.......I think you know what I mean Simon.

This is absolutely stunning - the pose, the BG, gorgeous light and a very well composed and taken image.

Superb!!

Outstanding shot and perfect title. Waiting for the turn of the head to shoot ensured that you not only got a catchlight but a rather noble/arrogant pose as well.

Great! The turn of the head gives it that majestic look, and that bit of sod on the antler tip gives a hint of what he's been doing.

Wonderful shot. As with some others, the grass on the antlers makes it for me, thought the light and exposure are great as well. Having him a bit further left would work too, but there's nothing wrong with this position, with the eye on the vertical centerline.

Very nice image. Majestic pose nicely exposed. The grass on the antler makes it that much beter.

Simon, I wouldn't touch anything in this image. The light is magical, and gives life to the Elk. The blue contrasting bg is such a delightful backdrop. I have nothing to nit-pick about this one at all. Exposure is dead on - great stuff!

Beautiful shot! Good composition and the light is perfect for the head turn you got to capture. Without the head turn this just wouldn't have worked.
