Red Kite feeding on the wing

This Red Kite was flying over picking at the meat before anyone else nicked it off him/her. (Kleptoparasitism - Thanks Colin!!!).

It's a wonder it didn't crash land.

D70 50-500, f7.1 1/1000th, digital ISO 640 (Manual metering)

About a 50% crop.

I wish the tail were not in such heavy molt but this is a cool shot regardless, Clive. The light here is different from what we normally see on flight shots but I like the effect.

Hi Clive

Nice action, but head position could be better.

It doesn't appear to be critically sharp & you may benefit from a faster SS with your set-up if at max zoom.
