This was the only time last winter I was able to find a moon behind an Owl.
With the Owl in focus the moon was out of focus so two images were taken with the camera in the same position. One with the Owl sharp and the other image with the moon sharp. The sharp image of the moon was then pasted over the out of focus moon to produce this image.

I wondered why the moon appeared to be so in focus ;-) Nice work here, Ken.

Great shot and vision. I might clone out the branch behind the owls head.

:) Love this shot! Both branches give it a rythum. I see the eyes first then, one, two branches and then the moon, three, which beings me back to the eyes. I might like the lower branch extended off the edge, or not? Really like this intense clean shot. San Diego Deb
