Wonderful timing and nice detail. Could use a bit more room in front and a tad more USM.

Nice flight shot. It would look better as a horizontal I think. Please take some time to read the guidelines for this forum, images should be no longer than 650 on the longest side. Also, one image post every 48 hrs, thanks.

Nice colors and light!. It looks a bit soft to me too. I would try to recover more details from the underwing using S/H.

Nice capture Les! Lightening the shadows and a bit more USM would help it.

This is a cool shot though I have to agree with others on wanting more USM and a little extra room in front of the bird. A horizontal crop perhaps ?

My apologies for not reading the guidlines first. It won't be a problem again.

I will give the processing another go and change the composition a bit. The problem is that it is an awkward shot to cover in a rectangular frame, so maybe a square even though I dislike square framing.

Thanks for the suggestions and compliments.

Excellent pose and a nice shot despite a touch soft on the head, atsi!
Critical focus appears to be on the left wing instead ...

I agree with the above. Still, it's an excellent capture. I've not seen many flight shots of green herons.
