This was a grab shot. He was waiting by the car after returning from a moose blind. The leaves in the trees behind the bird were turning yellow and being hit by the sun. I actually toned the background down quite a bit........... but maybe not enough!

Tough choice for cropping Richard !!!! Do like the image very much The one branch on back of the head is the one that bothers me the most ? The head would sure stand out nice without it !!! Excellent image !!! 8)

Like the image, but the blue color cast was bothering me. Hope you don't mind my reposting the image with a bit of color correction.

Now that I am looking at thsi more carefully, I see red too. I did this very quickly so I probably could have spend some more time on it...
