I came across this wonderful old pollard tree in Windsor Great Park. They were cut off at about 9-12 feet high so that the regrowth could be protected from browsing deer and stock. The regrowth was then used in building and various crafts.
This is worked in Corel Painter. It has lost quite a bit in shrinking for the web I'm afraid. Clive
