This large bull was very cooperative for me. :D The morning fog also helped make my day! I love fog images, because there are so many things you can do to compose a scene and you are usually only working with 2 or 3 tones in a monochromatic scene. (See Heather's article in this months magazine).
The trees set the elk off and help tell the story. Hope you like it. Comments are always welcome.

Nice fog shot! Good profile on the bull and I like the background trees. The fence post by his butt is a bit distracting.

I personally have had trouble working in the fog, but I think you have pulled off the feeling well here. I like this one..

I like the feel to this. Agree that the trees add a lot and in this light even more so than if there was strong light where it might overpower the animal. Nice moody image.
